Structural Design Engineer
I have ten years' experience in structural design engineering, including six years in the Gulf area.
I have a Bachelor degree in structural engineering from Ainshams University, Egypt. Recently, I have finished a Diploma in structural and foundation engineering from Heriot-Watt University, UK and work towards having a Master’s degree.
I am a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK, and work towards being chartered.
My background covers: • Structural design of different types of projects, high-rise buildings, mixed-use buildings, residential buildings, administration buildings, commercial buildings, sports buildings, hotels, showroom, stores and villas., • Implementation of different types of systems, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel and composite systems., • Implementation of different international codes and standards, ACI, AISC, ASCE, BS, EUROCODE, IBC and UBC. • Structural analysis and design using modern FE software, ETABS, SAFE, SAP, CSICOL and PROKON. • Project delivery using Building information modelling (BIM) using modern software, REVIT and NAVISWORKS.
